In Episode 17 of Catholic Bible Highlights, Kenny Burchard opens Matthew 12 — one of the most confrontational chapters in the whole Gospel — where the opposition to Jesus crosses a line from grumbling into a plot to kill him, and Jesus draws the starkest dividing lines he has ever drawn. This episode unpacks three movements in Matthew 12:
* The Refrain — “Something greater is here”: Greater than the temple, greater than Jonah, greater than Solomon (vv. 1–42)
* The Warning — The swept-clean house: what happens when evil is cast out but Christ is not let in (vv. 43–45)
* The New Family — Whoever does the will of the Father is brother, sister, and mother to Jesus — and why Mary is the model (vv. 46–50)
